What is Fairy Hair?

Fairy Hair, also known as hair tinsel or hair sparkles, are thin, shiny strands that are tied into your hair to create a dazzling, glittery effect. How long do they last?

Fairy Hair will last for as long as the hair it is attached to. It could be a day, weeks, or even a few months, where you may still have a few strands. Most Fairy Hair will fall out gradually, but loss normally happens through washing and styling.

There is no guarantee of a minimum amount of time the hair they are attached to might remain intact due to the cycle of hair shedding. Fairy Hair is best suited to hair that is shoulder length, or longer.

Aftercare Tips for Maintaining Hair Sparkles:

  • Gentle Care: Be gentle when brushing and washing your hair to avoid pulling out the sparkles. We recommend you use a detangling brush and brush from the bottom up.
  • Styling Tools: You can wash your hair, dry your hair and heat your hair. You can even colour your hair with Fairy Hair attached. Just make sure that when using hair straighteners that the heat doesn’t exceed 210c. If over time your sparkles start to kink, just run some straighteners though to get that smoothness back.
  • Conditioner: Avoid using conditioners near the scalp, as this can make your Fairy Hair slip out.

Our sparkles can be washed, dried and heat-styled up to 210C and can even withstand colour treatments.
