With so many calorific treats on display this Christmas, why not try these healthy alternatives…….

Instead of: Mince pies. Go for: Unsalted nuts, such as walnuts, hazelnuts and pecans; high in Omega 3, and essential fatty acid needed for muscle power and healthy joints.

Instead of: Beer & Wine. Go for: Dry champagne; lower in sugar.

Instead of: Crisps & peanuts. Go for: Twiglets – low fat and wholemeal, or olives, high in healthy fats.

Instead of: Sausage rolls. Go for: Smoked salmon (high in Omega 3).
